Aloha Friends - Update

Aloha Friends,

Summer is officially here and on Maui it has been a hot one. Two weeks straight of record breaking temperatures into the nineties and category 4 Hurricane Barbara brewing in the Pacific. Happy 4th of July!

I am pretty well healed from my eye surgery in May and thank God my vision is back! Mahalo for all your prayers.

I have been reviewing many hours of whale song recordings from this past season and I really got some good ones! The best will be included in the Hawaii Whalesong music albums I am currently working on. I will be in the studio these next weeks, recording and mixing beautiful music with the whale songs.

I have chosen a moving phrase from this years’ song to use in the Hawaiian Humpback Ring Tone, which I’ll be sending out shortly.

I’m also looking forward to the (Dolphin David) Hawaiian Whalesong Tshirts, which should be available soon.

There has been much sad news about Gray Whale deaths up and down the West Coast and Alaska. With Climate Change, pollution, military sonar, oil exploration seismic blasting, depletion of whales’ sources of food and Japan’s resumption of commercial whaling, the whales really need our help.

Hawaii Whalesong is sharing the whales’ message of peace, sustainability and oneness with the world. Will we listen and act in time to save ourselves and all life on this beautiful planet?

Proceeds from the sale of the albums will benefit whale and ocean conservation organizations and I am looking forward to sharing them with you.

If you know someone who may want to participate in this project as a musician, studio engineer, music industry liaison or computer/web designer, I would welcome the collaboration.

Aloha and Malama Honua, Take Care of our Earth,

Raphiell Nolin
